About Me:
My name is Rachelle Sorensen, and I love teenagers! I have been married to my husband, Beau, for 19 years, and we have three teenagers and one tween. I grew up in the military, and I developed a deep love for traveling and seeing new places. Our family has been to over 30 countries together (you can learn how here if you are interested). I also love blogging, teaching, reading, playing the piano, and meeting new people.
I got a Bachelor’s Degree in Marriage, Family, and Human Development at BYU in 2002, and I worked with troubled teens for a few years until I decided I wanted to stay home with my kids while they were young. When my youngest started first grade, I became a certified life coach with Coach Training Alliance. I started off just coaching parents and have now expanded to coaching families and teenagers. I also became a Teen Talking Circle facilitator in 2022, and I love running mother-daughter in-person talking circles, as well.
I am passionate about helping teens and their parents learn, grow, and connect with each other. I believe:
Knowledge is power. The more we know, the better we can parent.
Parenting teens can be fun and rewarding.
It’s more important to be real than perfect.
We are the exact parents our teens need.
Our job as parents is to teach our teens, and their job is to make the choices.

“I found Rachelle almost by accident. I'm not even sure how I got on her Raising Inspired Teens Facebook page, but I found myself there, reaching out for advice and comfort. Rachelle offered a free coaching call, and I took it! I'm so glad I did! I had never been to counseling or had a life coach, and I wasn't sure what to expect. I knew I was going to cry and felt a little self-conscious about that, but Rachelle immediately put me at ease. I felt safe telling her what was going on. She offered the support I needed. I made another appointment and found myself telling her how I was really feeling and what I was really thinking...not just what I showed other people, but my true thoughts. Rachelle helped me identify the false stories I was telling myself and showed me how to change my thinking. She helped me look at my teens, and myself, in a whole new light. I've been coached by Rachelle for over six months now. When I look back on my time with her, I can see how much I have grown and changed. She picked me up off my bedroom floor, dusted me off, and helped me believe that I would be okay again. I'm not sure I could have done that on my own.” Heather G.
“Rachelle is a 10/10 great amazing person to go to as a coach. I feel she has helped me through a couple of tough times and made me think more positively about going through life. I am more confident that I can get through it. I like her, and she’s an amazing life coach. I am sure she can benefit you the same way she’s benefited me!” Nataleah, a teen client
“Rachelle is a great resource to help get your thoughts out of the same rut they have been stuck in. I like how she focuses on growth and helps you feel like you can be successful no matter where your starting place is.” Rachel V.
“Rachelle is a great listener, and she really helped me see and understand my situation from a different perspective. She helped me recognize my thought fallacies and choose new ways of thinking.” Christy P.
“Rachelle is terrific at listening for the ‘why’ in your comments. She uses this to help guide the thought process for what needs to be done to change the situation. I am so grateful I had the opportunity to work with her!” Jessica P.
“Rachelle validated my overwhelming emotions but helped me look at things from a higher perspective. I left our meetings feeling so much lighter and with fresh ideas to make doable changes when facing my challenges.” Jennette K.
“This talking circle has opened up a space in me that is more reflective. It’s an opportunity to embrace that past self, the present self, and the potential for my future self each day. Not only does this program offer a chance to really look at ways to acknowledge what we go through, how we respond, and why, but it gives you the techniques to embrace steps forward. It’s a progressive discussion on the whole self. And I appreciated the opportunity to attend each session where I could be vulnerable in a safe place and really begin to look at myself more openly and honestly.” Kaleigh, a mother-daughter talking circle participant
“Rachelle did an amazing job with our Tech Talking Circle group!! She knows her stuff and can clearly explain the important topics and why families should be discussing technology and screen time together. She is a great teacher, and she helped our family have discussions we wouldn't have had without the class. Thank you!” Nathan, parent, Let’s Talk Tech participant
“I really liked it!!! It helped you understand more about screens! It was informational and was fun!” Henry, 13, Let’s Talk Tech participant
